Smoked Mullet

Every once in awhile on the spur of the moment you'll see something to eat and go for it! That happened to me yesterday on my way home at an ole 60's smoked fish shop in St. Pete...Ted Peters Famous Smoked Fish.

The smoky smell from the to-go shop was overpowering firing up my salivary glands....and the fish of the day was MULLET.

Wow!! you wanna talk about good fresh smoked fish.....with a side dish of German potato salad. Yum!

Oh wow that smoked fish looks delicious! Haven't had smoked fish in years! Yeah I'm very similar to you, when I smell something good, I get curious and if my stomach grumbles, you bet that I will try it out.

Smoked fish is great! Local versions are the tinapang bangus, galunggong and salinas. You should try making a pasta dish out of it. Top cooked penne with flaked smoked fish, finely chopped salted red eggs, plus goat cheese and parmesan cheese. Drizzle some olive oil on it. Voila! Instant chef. haha.
